My Voice Survey
When students have high aspirations, they have the ability to dream about the future, while being inspired in the present to reach those dreams. Whether the goal is to learn Trigonometry or a trade, get good grades or go to college, students want to be successful. Too often, however, students don’t reach their goals and fullest potential because the conditions that inspire and support them are not in place.
Dr. Russell Quaglia of Aspirations Unlimited and the Quaglia Institute for Student Aspirations (QISA) has identified 8 Conditions that need to be in place if students are to strive for, and fulfill, their academic, personal and social promise. Based on more than two decades of research, these conditions emphasize relationships, engaged learning, and students’ sense of purpose.
How can you assess the 8 Conditions in your school and gain insight for adopting, implementing, and sustaining positive changes to create an optimum teaching and learning environment? The My Voice Survey, with the included custom reports, helps educators discover how a student perceives the school environment, what motivates and inspires the student to achieve, and how well the student believes the school is meeting those objectives. Once you have determined the Conditions in your school, the My Voice Survey supporting materials and services can guide you to improving relationships with students and parents, make teaching more relevant and engaging, improve student achievement, and raise student aspirations.
